Landon Beaver is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and owner of Mt. Mitchell Counseling.

Deeply rooted in Yancey County, Landon lives with his son on family land along the South Toe River, where his family has called the mountains of Western North Carolina home for generations.

Like so many families across our region, Landon experienced Hurricane Helene not just as a therapist, but as a neighbor and community member living through the storm and the long recovery that has followed. That experience has reinforced his belief that mental health care after a disaster has to be accessible, practical, and grounded in the relationships and communities that help people keep going.

Landon works with children, teens, adults, couples, and families and brings a warm, down-to-earth approach to counseling. He is especially passionate about helping people navigate trauma, stress, relationships, family challenges, and major life transitions. Through Mountain Strong, he is grateful for the opportunity to care for his neighbors and help make sure cost is not what keeps someone from getting support when they need it.
