Meghan Graham

Meghan Graham, LCSW, LCAS-A is a Mitchell County native with more than 15 years of experience in disaster behavioral health, trauma-informed care, and community resilience.

Throughout her career, she has supported children, families, schools, and communities recovering from disasters across the country—from the lower Gulf parishes of Louisiana and the Greater New Orleans area to her home in the mountains of Western North Carolina, where she was living when Hurricane Helene greatly impacted the region.

Meghan has extensive experience providing evidence-informed disaster behavioral health services, workforce training, technical assistance, and program development to strengthen community preparedness, response, and long-term recovery. As a clinician, she has delivered trauma-informed, evidence-informed interventions that promote stabilization, healing, and resilience through individual, family, group, and community-based services. Her clinical experience spans the lifespan, serving children, adolescents, adults, older adults, and individuals from diverse backgrounds affected by disasters, trauma, and other behavioral health challenges.

Her expertise includes psychological first aid, trauma recovery, crisis intervention, disaster response and recovery, and the development of sustainable behavioral health systems that expand access to care in rural and underserved communities.

Meghan is passionate about building local capacity through training, consultation, and cross-sector collaboration while helping communities recover, adapt, and thrive in the face of adversity.
